Why won't the search return any results when I don't enter a keyword?[TOP]
The keyword is required for the search; if it is left blank the search will not return any results.
How does selecting "Any Word," "All Words," "Exact Match" or "Advanced Search" affect my search?[TOP]
Choosing "Any Word" will return results where any of the keywords entered are matched in the award information, including when the entered keyword is part of a word in the award information (for example, the keyword "test" will match if the award information includes the word "testing").
Choosing "All Words" will return results where all of the keywords entered are matched in the award information (the "test" and "testing" example above will still be true, though all the keywords must match in this way).
Choosing "Exact Match" will return results where the entire search phrase is matched exactly in the award information.

Can I change the sorting and number of records per page after I run the search?[TOP]
Yes. You may change the sorting order, the number of records per page, or both. You may select these from the boxes just above your results.
What does the "Narrow Your Search" section on the right do?[TOP]
Why don't the numbers for each item in the "Narrow Your Search" section change as I narrow the search?[TOP]
These numbers won't change as you check new criteria to narrow your search, as they are meant to provide you with the number of records matching your original search criteria.
Why does the Excel file for my search only have 1000 records, even though there were more results than that?[TOP]
There is a 1000 record limit for the downloaded Excel files. If you create an Excel file for a set of results that is greater than 1000, only the first 1000 will be downloaded to the Excel file.
